Who is the Anxiety Angel?

Hi, I’m Fiona Robinson, your Anxiety Angel.

The amazing news is that you can take control and overcome your anxiety and  lead a calmer, happier, more fulfilling life. It’s my job to show you how.

Since starting in  practice in 2007, I have specialised in anxiety related issues. My extensive experience means I have the tools which you can use to get your life back on track.

My Approach

Let’s look at your problem and take action! Let’s get you the results you want, as soon as possible.
My approach is pragmatic. I concentrate on getting you the successful outcome you want.
There is no faffing about with a pre-booked number of sessions*, we simply take each session as it comes and we stop as soon as we have the problem sorted! I’m not here to waste your time or money on unnecessary sessions.

In addition to the care and compassion one would expect when dealing with anxiety, what you will also get from me is the confidence and motivation to take control of your problem and do something about it. Problems need to be worked at and you need to take ownership and work with me to free yourself Sometimes a gentle kick up the derriere is needed too – but this always comes with a mountain of support!

The great news is that I am with you 100% of the way and focusing entirely on your success.

I pride myself on the care I take with my clients and the level of attention and service I give them. My past clients know they can always contact me for advice or reassurance at any time.

Whilst initially training as a Hypnotherapist in 2007, I don’t just use hypnosis. I have a very eclectic toolbox of skills, which includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Coaching and allows me to take a very pragmatic approach – giving very practical solutions to tackle problems.
* My very successful and popular Irritable Bowel Programme is the only exception – this is very structured and runs over 6 sessions

How I Do It

Anxiety comes when we allow our imaginations to run riot, picturing what awful things are about to occur – until we convince ourselves this is reality . When we can see things from a calmer and more rational perspective the anxiety subsides.

No two clients have the same treatment – there s no “one size fits all” approach. Your treatment plan will be based entirely on the issues you face and the goals you want to achieve. I focus entirely on your success. Don’t take my word for it – take a look at my success stories page to see real results from people just like you.

To overcome your anxiety you need to challenge your irrational thoughts. I will help you to challenge the negative beliefs that keep the anxious thoughts with you and help you to stand back, take stock and establish what is real and what unnatural and necessary fears your anxiety is generating.

We then look at practical techniques to help you gain perspective and calm the anxious thoughts before moving on to and boost your confidence and motivation and celebrate you success.

My Experience and Expertise

I think a coach/therapist’s personality, confidence, life experience, and professional expertise is just as important (and much more interesting!) than any paper-based qualifications. Not one person in over 10 years of practice has asked me what my qualifications are – they just want a first class service and to know if I can help them! However, do carry on and read the details at the bottom of this page if you want to know the official stuff.

Professional Experience : I have over 10 years’ experience in dealing with people suffering with anxiety related issues. I have continued to enhance my skills with ongoing professional learning. We never get to the point where we know everything and I am open to and interested in new ways of approaching issues. The larger my toolbox of skills and techniques, the more likely I am to be able to find the solution that is right for you.

Take a look at my Success Stories to see how my expertise has had great results.

Life Experience: I have a son with Autism and Attention Deficit Disorder and the challenges of helping him to achieve his full potential – and learning how best to do that – has enhanced my skills immensely. Life with my son has taught me so much about a) accepting a challenging situation, b) problem-solving c) keeping calm and rational and d) developing resilience.

My approach with my son was very much “OK – what can we do about this? How best can I help him and how do I keep myself sane during the tough times?” It really honed my natural problem-solving skills. My son is now in his twenties, happy and holding down a really good job and I am still sane – so I must have done something right!

Both the mistakes I made along the way, together with the breakthroughs and successes, have led to me having a wealth of experience which I use on a daily basis with my clients.

Qualifications: I am a Senior Qualified Hypnotherapist and Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and registered with The General Hypnotherapy Register. – Reg No. 3207

I am also a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
